La Chinata Red Pepper and Eggplant Spread is a perfect side dish for lunches and dinners. Elaborated with first quality products from Extremadura vegetable patches and La Chinata extra virgin olive oil, it is a gourmet product that gives a touch of personality to all your recipes.
Both with meats and vegetables, as well as with pasta or sauces, it is a soft spread with an intense flavour that reminds of “escalibada” and is suitable for plenty of combinations.
Besides, it is a product with great nutritional values, as red pepper and eggplant offer a lot of health benefits, as EVOO also does.
On one hand, red pepper is a source of provitamin A (Beta carotene and cryptoxanthin) that our organism transforms into vitamin A. It also has vitamins from groups B, C and E. And, among the minerals, potassium and, in lower proportion, magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium are present. It is also a great antioxidant.
On the other hand, eggplant is rich in potassium, copper, folic acid, magnesium and fibre. It also includes caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid that have great properties to fight against cancer, viruses, cell damage and harmful bacteria.
