Vineyard and elaboration
The vineyards are located in the areas of La Horra, Roa, Anguix, La Aguilera and Quintana del Pidio, where they use old vines, as they bring extraordinary qualities to their wines.
The vines are trained in the traditional goblet system and are pruned in the traditional way of the area. They are very committed to organic farming and carry out viticulture that scrupulously respects the environment.
Harvesting at La Horra is carried out manually, respectfully and professionally. The teams pick the grapes from the selected vineyards every day in 12-kilo baskets and the fruit is a true reflection of the landscape. It is a living being that captures even the smallest detail of its surroundings.
La Horra Winery
The wines of Bodegas La Horra are a clear reflection of the area, the vintage and the landscape, which seek to translate the freshness and complexity of the Ribera del Duero region from Burgos into their wines. At the same time, they prevent any part of the winemaking process from masking the greatness of the area.
Fermentations are spontaneous with native yeasts: the yeast population in each vineyard is different and gives the wine its distinctive character. Each wine will be part of the final coupage of Corimbo or Corimbo I depending on the vineyard's age and its peculiarities and organoleptic profile.
In short, the wines of Bodegas La Horra are the way to discover the surrounding landscape, as well as the characteristics of the vintage.
