Iberian Patatera Morcilla Toast with roasted aubergines, brie cheese and Thyme Honey

The Morcilla Patatera is a typical delicacy of the gastronomy of Extremadura, whose ingredients are a reflection of the richness of the region, as it combines the essence of the Extremaduran meadow thanks to the meat of its Iberian pigs, to the products offered by its land such as paprika and tubers, as well as EVOO from our olive trees.

In the same way, it is a sausage that has been gaining popularity, especially in recent years, given its great versatility in the kitchen and its spectacular flavor, which has not gone unnoticed among great chefs.

At La Chinata we have added this delicious sausage to our gourmet selection with two versions, the Iberian Patatera Black Pudding with Spicy Vera Paprika and the Pumpkin Potato Sausage, with a sweeter taste.

Morcilla patatera

To taste it, we propose this delicious and simple Iberian Patatera Black Pudding toast with roasted aubergines, brie cheese and Thyme Honey:

INGREDIENTS

ELABORATION 

  1. Spread the bread with the garlic cloves and toast in the oven or in the pan.
  2. Cut the aubergine into slices and drizzle with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and thyme, bake until tender, about 20 minutes.
  3. Next, spread the potato on the toast, put some slices of roasted aubergines and some slices of brie cheese.
  4. Finish with honey, thyme and salt and pepper.
