Vineyard and elaboration
The vineyards are located in the canyon of Sil River. The soil is formed mainly by granite, sand and slate and the use of herbicides is avoided. Harvesting is manual, with a limited production in order to achieve a higher quality. Grapes are harvested manually.
The work in the vineyard and the winery is very exhaustive and the wines are made following a traditional process to express the character of each smallholding, avoiding processes that diminish wine's potential. Native yeasts are used. Ageing process takes place in used barrels, without filtering. The result is an authentic wine that reflects respect for the land and its vineyards.
Winery
The brothers Juan and Carlos Rodríguez together with Fredi Torres created in 2013 this project where they restart the winemaking tradition of the Rodríguez family in the Ribeira Sacra, in Sober. A faithful respect for the vineyards and the terroir of the area and a traditional winemaking process are the hallmark of this winery. Althought at the beginning they did not want to join the Ribeira Sacra Designation of Origin, their wines reflect all the richness and respect for this terroir.
