Vineyard and elaboration
The vineyards are located in the canyon of the Sil River. The soil is mostly made up of granite, sand and slate and the use of herbicides is avoided. Field work is manually operated, with a limited production in order to achieve a higher quality.
The work in the vineyard and the winery is very exhaustive and the wines are made in a traditional way to express the character of each plot, avoiding processes that reduce the potential of the wines. Native yeasts are used, ageing takes place in barrels with several years of use, without filtering... The result is an authentic wine that reflects the respect for the land and its vineyards.
Winery
The brothers Juan and Carlos Rodríguez together with Fredi Torres created in 2013 this project where they restart the winemaking tradition of the Rodríguez family in the Ribeira Sacra, in Sober. A faithful respect for the vineyards and the terroir of the area and a traditional winemaking process are the hallmark of this winery. Althought at the beginning they did not want to join the Ribeira Sacra Designation of Origin, their wines reflect all the richness and respect for this terroir.
