Vineyard and elaboration
The grapes come from various towns, mainly from Corullón and Villafranca del Bierzo, as well as from the districts of Valtuille de Abajo, Viariz, Hornija and Otero. It has a surface area of 90 hectares, with very steep slopes and hillsides, and it is at between 450 metres and 1,100 metres above sea level.
Winery
The winery belongs to the winemakers Álvaro Palacios (son of Riojan winemakers and part of the family saga of the Palacios Remondo and Muro families) and his nephew Ricardo Pérez Palacios.
An old winery built in stone and restored in Villafranca del Bierzo. Vineyards are located near monasteries, chapels and pilgrimage routes, so that spirituality and monastic culture define the winery's character, also influenced by a bond with nature and a viticulture that reflects the history and culture of the region.
