The Iberico Chorizo Pumpkin Sausage with Extra Virgin Olive Oil is an icon of Extremadura’s cuisine that we have prepared in a traditional way, following the traditional recipe based on potato, iberian pork, onion, garlic, Sweet Paprika (Pimentón de la Vera), pumpkin and EVOO.

This sausage has a humble origin that dates back to the 18th century, when in view of the scarcity of rice and onions, potatoes were added instead during the slaughter, creating such an emblematic sausage in the province of Cáceres.

DESCRIPTION

The Iberico Chorizo Pumpkin Sausage with Extra Virgin Olive Oil combines the essence of Extremadura's pasture, thanks to the meat of its Iberian pigs, paprika, tubers, pumpkin and EVOO.

This sausage has been receiving great recognition, especially in recent years, due to its great versatility in the kitchen and its spectacular taste, which has not gone unnoticed among great chefs.

In fact, a party is held on its behalf every year, 'La Pedida de la Patatera'. It is celebrated in the town of Malpartida de Cáceres, located in the province of Cáceres.

    Siempre es un gusto comer estos embutidos que se salen un poco de lo habitual. Sabrosa pero agradable de comer.

How to use

Recomendamos tomar nuestra Morcilla Ibérica de Calabaza con Aceite de Oliva Virgen Extra untada sobre las Regañás Rústicas, también con un toque de Thyme Honey, o simplemente en rodajas, asada o frita.

Otra opción es utilizar un poco de la misma en la masa de las croquetas, de las tortillas de patatas o de las empanadas.
