Our La Chinata Fresh Extra Virgin Olive Oil “Manzanilla Cacereña” comes from the first olives of the new harvesting season, barely ripe and with all its strength, flavour, spice and bitterness. This Fresh EVOO is bottled unfiltered, so it keeps all its natural flavours and aromas, and becomes a gourmet product. It is only available after the first days of the season and for a limited period of time. Therefore tasting it is an unique and totally different experience every year.

This EVOO is obtained from a selection of olives gathered from the region of “Sierra de Gata”, located to the northwest of Caceres. There, only the best olives are selected, those that guarantee that a top quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil is obtained for our customers.
The region of La Sierra de Gata is known for its olives, mainly allocated to direct consumption as table olives, known throughout Spain as "Manzanilla Cacereña". Their aroma can be tasted in our EVOO, as La Chinata Extra Virgin Olive Oil inherits their virtues and well-knwon characteristics.

I expected it to be very spicy and very acidic because it was made with the first not very ripe olives, but on the contrary, it is very rich, not very acidic and not very spicy. It is very aromatic and very tasty. I take it on toast and it is a pleasure. It has a distinct taste, as if you were eating the olive. Maybe a little expensive but worth a try.
