Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil has four main characteristics:
- An intense yellow colour with traces of green.
- A sweet and flat taste, without the characteristic spiciness and bitterness of the oils from the South of Spain. We achieve a very smooth taste that makes the tasting of these virgin oils a great pleasure.
- Avery dense ripe fruit aroma.
- Areally high content of unsaturated fatty acids, that makes this Virgin oil one of the most perfect from the different olive growing zones in Spain.
The region of Sierra de Gata is known for its olives, mainly allocated to direct consumption. We are talking about table olives, known throughout Spain as “manzanilla cacereña”. They are very similar in texture and taste, so they leave a pleasant flavour on the palate. Part of this aroma can be appreciated in our oil, as used olives are the smaller ones that cannot be allocated to direct consumption; consequently La Chinata Extra Virgin Olive Oil inherits their virtues and best-known characteristics.
The glass container preserves all EVOO’s properties and it is important to choose the right size according to its use, so as not to store it for a long period of time as, once opened, its qualities and flavour start to diminish.
The glass container is the most conveninet to use at the table as well as gifting.
