Vineyard and elaboration
The vineyard is located in the Estrecho de Pipa area, at 700 metres above sea level, trained in goblet vines, with 'zero residue' viticulture. The soil is fine sandy and very poor in organic matter. The climate is Mediterranean.
Ageing time is 15 months in French oak barrels.
Winery
The winery was founded in 1989 and is currently run by two of the founder's sons. Today it is one of the most outstanding wineries in the region and a benchmark of Mediterranean wines.
The winery's most important variety is Monastrell, although it is also a pioneer in planting other foreign varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
Their wines are highly acclaimed on the international market and have very high scores in the specialised wine guides.
They are proud of their environmentally friendly viticulture and their exhaustive work in the vineyard and the winery. In short, Enrique Mendoza's wines claim their Mediterranean origin with a great complexity of nuances, reflecting quality and modernity.
