Vineyards and elaboration
The xarel-lo variety vineyards are located in three main areas of the Alt Pendès region: Plana del Penedès, Muntanyes de lÒrdal and Vall del Bitlles. This varietal, which is perfectly adapted to warm, dry climates, is originally from Catalonia and is one of the three most important grape varieties in the production of cava. Harvesting is carried out manually to guarantee the bunches are of the highest quality. The fermentation of the grape juice takes place in stainless steel tanks with yeasts from their own vineyards and the process from harvesting to bottling of wine takes place entirely at Celler Credo.
Organic farming means that the vines are not treated with herbicides or pesticides, only medicinal plants (phytotherapy) are used to control and strengthen the vines in a natural way.
Celler Credo Winery
Celler Credo is the still wine project of the Recaredo family and team, masters of sparkling wines since 1924. This winery was founded in the 1990s and is located in Barcelona.
At Celler, they define themselves as advocates of the bio (life) and the dynamic (movement) and they are firmly committed to native varieties when it comes to defining the identity of a territory, where their special dedication focuses on Xarel-lo grapes.
From the most natural and traditional processes come wines that tell a story, the result of dialogue between man, the variety and the land; a dialogue with a lot to say and nothing to hide.
