La Chinata Extra Virgin Olive Oil is obtained from a selection of olives harvested in the Sierra de Gata region, located in the northwest of the province of Cáceres. Only the best olives are selected to guarantee the production of a high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil for our customers. Olives must be at their optimum stage of ripening, clean, healthy and without visual flaws.
Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil has four main characteristics:
An intense yellow colour with traces of green.
A sweet and flat taste, without the characteristic spiciness and bitterness of the oils from the South of Spain. We achieve a very smooth taste that makes the tasting of these virgin oils a great pleasure.
Avery dense ripe fruit aroma.
Areally high content of unsaturated fatty acids, that makes this Virgin oil one of the most perfect from the different olive growing zones in Spain.
The region of Sierra de Gata is well-known for its olives, mainly used for direct consumption, that is table olives, known throughout Spain as 'manzanilla cacereña'. They are very similar in texture and flavour, leaving a pleasant aroma on the palate. And part of that aroma can be appreciated in our EVOO, as we use the smaller olives that cannot be allocated for direct consumption, so La Chinata Extra Virgin Olive Oil inherits their virtues and best-known characteristics.
Glass bottles preserve all the properties of EVOO and it is important to choose the right size, according to consumption, so that it is not stored for a long time, as once opened, its qualities and flavour decreases.
The glass bottle is the most comfortable one to use on the table, as well as to gift.
